On the 3rd of April we were finally able to step foot on a mountainside after Covid19 restrictions had prevented us from doing so for Months. Couldn't have asked for a better day for it! Quite literally a warm welcome.

We parked up in Keswick, The Lake District and began walking through Dodd Wood up towards Ullock Pike and Longside Edge - the route we were taking up Skiddaw. The last time we attempted Skiddaw we made the decision to turn back due to 70mph winds that had quite literally knocked a few of us of our feet! But I was feeling optimistic seeing the first light coming through the trees in Dodd Wood.

A little later and we were on top of Skiddaw soaking in the sunshine! Not a cloud or a breeze in sight! The excellent visibility allowing for a beautiful view of Derwentwater.
